چکیده

In the current era of highly developed science, technology and technology, demand for natural fabrics is increasing year by in world market, silk industry science are led to cultivation mulberry varieties with high nutritional value creation breeds hybrids suitable different seasons changing external environment. recent years, Republic Uzbekistan, practice rearing silkworms several times a has been used. However, there no hot summer conditions our country, based on this, scientific research started direction creating heat-resistant at Silk Research Institute. this article, results breeding 6 4 industrial silkworm under described. Based preliminary data, Line 1 2 systems were found have embryonic post-embryonic viability conditions. average cocoon weight these was 1.68-1.73 g, shell 339 mg, silkiness 19.6-20.2%. obtained results, it concluded that can be used as initial selection material heat resistant breeds.

Botanicals against Nuclear Polyhedrosis Virus infecting three breeds of mulberry silkworm, Bombyx mori L

Mulberry silkworm, Bombyx mori L, most valued for silk and other medicinal products is prone to various biotic stresses among which the disease caused by Nuclear Polyhedrosis Virus (BmNPV) is most serious as it occurs throughout the year causing losses to the tune of 30-40 per cent. Studies conducted on eco friendly management of the disease using botanicals revealed that 800 ppm hexane leaf ex...

Screening Strains of the Mulberry Silkworm, Bombyx mori, for Thermotolerance

A tropical climate prevails in most of the sericultural areas in India, where temperature increases during the summer lead to adverse effects on temperate bivoltine silkworm rearing and cause crop losses. Screening for thermotolerance in the silkworm, Bombyxmori L. (Lepidoptera: Bombycidae) is an essential prerequisite for the development of thermotolerant breeds/hybrids. In the current study, ...

Molecular cloning and expression pattern of a Cubitus interruptus homologue from the mulberry silkworm Bombyx mori

A homologue of the segment polarity gene Cubitus interruptus from Bombyx mori, (BmCi) has been cloned and characterized. This region harbouring Zn(2+) finger motif is highly conserved across species. In B. mori, BmCi RNA expression was first detected at stage 6 of embryogenesis, which reached maximum levels at stage 21C and was maintained until larval hatching. The segmentally reiterated stripe...
